From our founding over half a century ago to today, we have upheld rigorous quality control standards designed to ensure consistency, safety, and excellence in every supplement we produce.
Our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Southern California operates in full compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) established by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). In addition, Wakunaga maintains the following certifications:

Highest Quality Products
We have produced our Aged Garlic Extract products in the United States for over 40 years. Prior to that, the same proprietary aging technology was developed and utilized in Japan—an approach we continue to use today. Throughout the aging and manufacturing process, our organically cultivated garlic undergoes extensive testing for purity and potency, with more than 250 quality control checks conducted from start to finish.
After aging, the garlic becomes the foundation for 25 beneficial formulas. These formulas are then encapsulated or tableted, bottled, boxed, warehoused, and distributed directly from our own facility.
Our commitment to quality extends beyond our Kyolic Aged Garlic Extract line. We apply the same stringent oversight to all of our brands, including Kyo-Dophilus, Kyo-Green, and Moducare. All Wakunaga products are proudly manufactured/packaged in the USA.
Sustainable Quality
Our quality control standards also reflect our commitment to environmental stewardship. We believe it is our responsibility to protect the natural environment—both globally and within our local community.
Our garlic is organically grown using sustainable farming practices, including crop rotation, to promote healthier soil and minimize environmental impact. We also prioritize sustainability in packaging, using recyclable plastic or glass bottles, and printing our labels and cartons with zero VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) inks.
We take these extra steps because, at Wakunaga of America, we believe that supporting a healthy body begins with supporting a healthy planet.

Good Manufacturing Practice
Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) is a system for ensuring that products are consistently produced and controlled according to quality standards. Wakunaga of America maintains our certification annually by meeting or exceeding all cGMP standards established by the FDA.
GMP Certification by NSFISO 9001:2015 Certified
ISO certification verifies that a management system, manufacturing process, service, or documentation procedure has met all the requirements for standardization and quality assurance. ISO (International Organization for Standardization) is an independent, non-governmental, international organization that develops standards to ensure the quality, safety, and efficiency of products, services, and systems.
