If you are pregnant, nursing, a diabetic, an organ transplant recipient or have multiple sclerosis, do not use unless on the advice of and under the supervision of your healthcare practitioner. For organ transplant recipients, this includes recipients of foreign organs and tissues, including bone marrow and corneal transplants. Moducare can be taken for those with synthetic replacement or reconstruction (e.g., hip, knee, breast or pacemaker).

Results vary from individual to individual. If you are pregnant, nursing or receiving medical treatment, use only under the supervision of a healthcare professional. Long-term high dose supplementation with plant sterols may inhibit the absorption of the pre-vitamin beta-carotene. This is easily counteracted by increased intake of carotene-rich vitamins or foods. Otherwise, plant sterols are typically well tolerated.

ModuChol consists of plant sterol esters which have been clinically proven to reduce LDL cholesterol level, a major indicator for heart disease. ModuChol contains 0.65 g of plant sterol esters in each capsule (take 2 capsules daily). These plant sterol esters compete with dietary cholesterol, so when ModuChol is consumed with food, less cholesterol is absorbed by the small intestine, ultimately lowering harmful LDL which means reduced risk for heart disease. ModuChol, taken daily, results in a daily intake of 1.3 grams of plant sterol esters and therefore, is eligible for the FDA-approved health claim.

Moducare Immune Support capsules
For the past 4 years I have regularly taken Kyolic's Moducare Immune Support product, as directed, 3 capsules per day. I am under the routine care of a rheumatologist for an auto immune disorder; have been for 26 years. During the first 23 years it has been necessary for me to ingest prescription immune regulator and immune modulator drugs. These past three years the drugs that I do ingest daily, or almost daily are for my asthma/allergy issues- inhaled bronchodialator and inhaled steroid. For the past three years following debilitating side effects from the immune regulators and modulators and therefore cessation of use of these, I use only Moducare Immune Support along with a tight regimen of vitamin/mineral supplements and a careful diet absent of processed foods, also absent of wheat/wheat related foods. I eat mostly vegetarian. Given all that information The Kyolic Moducare Immune Support has effected improvement of my body's immune regulation- as proven in blood levels that are regularly monitored by the specialist doctor.
Moducare taken for Alopecia
I have taken Moducare off and on for the past few years and I have found it to be partially successful in the treatment of Alopecia Universalis. When I was ~10 years old, I lost all body hair including eyebrows and eyelashes. After taking Moducare daily (the recommended dose or doubled usually), I found that I slowly began to gain back my eyebrows, eyelashes and some assorted body hair. I got a little baby hair growth on my head that I generally keep shaved as it's not full coverage. However, getting my eyebrows and eyelashes back was such a big help to my health (self-esteem and natural eye protection). I really have nothing else to credit, trying a paleo diet proved to be ineffective, I didn't take steroid cream or injections either. Until more evidence comes out to show how certain things affect Alopecia, I have nothing else to credit and am confident that Moducare made the difference as it's the only supplement I was taking at the time.
